As an immigrant, Elida empathizes with the uncertainty and fear of life changes and stressors, and takes a curious and culturally sensitive stance in therapy. Elida views therapy as an empowering journey toward healing and growth. It may be difficult to take the first step, but it is also courageous.

Elida believes in the importance of meeting the client where they are. Elida values tailoring evidence-based psychotherapy approaches to fit the client’s individual needs. Elida sees the client as the expert on their life. As she learns from you, you will learn of her knowledge and expertise. Elida will work to help you build stronger skills to navigate future challenges while managing past burdens as well.

Elida is completing her Masters of Science in Psychotherapy at McMaster University.
