Maggie uses a nonjudgmental, collaborative approach to foster a safe and inclusive space for individuals on their journey to mental and emotional well-being. With a Master of Science in Psychotherapy from McMaster University and clinical experience providing individual and group psychotherapy in private practice and hospital settings, Maggie is well-equipped to manage a range of concerns including anxiety, perfectionism, OCD, depression, bipolar disorder, emotion dysregulation, sleep difficulties, and other general life stressors.
Maggie feels honoured to support clients navigating periods of grief, loss, and life transition, including loss of a loved one, relationship, or pregnancy, and new life phases of pregnancy, postpartum, emerging adulthood, health changes, and transition to elder age.
Drawing from evidence-based practices such as cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based techniques, and emotion regulation skills, she collaborates closely with her clients to develop personalized treatment plans that cultivate healing, growth, and self-discovery.
Maggie is also passionate about working with those who identify as part of the 2SLGBTQ+ community. Working from a gender-affirming and trauma-informed lens, she is committed to offering support related to sexuality, gender identity, and authentic self-expression.
Maggie appreciates continuous lifelong learning, and engages in workshops and trainings to further enhance her psychotherapeutic skills. In her free time, Maggie enjoys reading, doing yoga, and playing with her cats, Oscar and Reya.
